I am wild about this man.  If it's possible to love somebody you've never met, that's how I feel about Anthony Bourdain.  I feel like I've learned so much from him, not just about food and different cultures but about myself.  He far and away was the main inspiration for me to travel.

He gets most excited when he's eating street food, specifically noodles, somewhere in Asia And I feel that.

When things are happening in the world I think, I wonder what Anthony Bourdain would say about all of this?

My junior year of high school I took anthropology with Mr. Washburn, we spent ninety percent of the semester watching documentaries about primates, which sign me up, but while I learned all about our closest relatives, I also learned about Jane Goodall.  I'm sure eventually I would have became an environmentalist on my own but she hard and fast made me want to save the planet.  When asked what I wanted 'to be' I would respond with 'Jane Goodall', I wouldn't even say a conservationist, just her.  I know the world is a better place because of her.  She's held steadfast in her commitment to Gombe and the planet as a whole.  She is honest about the challenges we face when it comes to saving the rainforest, stating that we cannot expect people who are without food and water to care about saving trees.  She is no longer young but she never quits, I get overwhelmed thinking about how incredible she is, her drive and effort unwavering.  She is a woman on a lifelong mission and for me she is the best example of how one should live their days on this planet, helping to save it.
